Introduction

The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC) is hiring a Reporting Manager for the 2024 cycle. The Reporting Manager will build reports summarizing coordinated campaign program health and early voting in Senate battleground states.

This position reports to the National Data and Analytics Director.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain automated reports that offer stakeholders insight into program health and performance and in Senate battleground states

  • Build and monitor robust data pipelines and reporting infrastructure to transform data from disparate sources into a unified and aggregated view

  • Surface key insights from program reports and present findings to internal teams

  • Support the committee’s early vote and ballot rejection reporting work:Support design, generation, and management of early vote reports for priority Senate battleground states Produce written materials communicating what returns mean for the state of the race Support translating insights into voter contact programs

  • Build, document, and maintain scalable code to support both ongoing and one-off analysis projects

  • Other duties as needed.

Skills and Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience applying data in a political, business, or non-profit setting, with expertise in data visualization and reporting infrastructure
  • 3+ years of using SQL professionally
  • Previous experience designing or building automated reports and dashboards
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools, such as (but not limited to) Tableau, Hex, Google Data Studio, Google Sheets, Excel
  • Experience using VAN/Votebuilder data for programmatic reporting
  • Proficiency in a variety of programming languages/software such as (but not limited to) Javascript, Python, R and/or QGIS
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong problem solving skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Collaborative approach to working with other teams and partners, and openness to constructive feedback

This position is based in DC. This position is expected to work out of the DSCC office located on Capitol Hill.
