Deputy Coordinated Campaigns Director for Voter Access Job Description
Overview
The DSCC is seeking a Deputy Coordinated Campaigns Director for Voter Access for the 2026 cycle. This individual will be key to fighting Republican voter suppression efforts, expanding turnout and ensuring every eligible voter has their ballot counted. This position reports to the Coordinated Campaigns Director and is based at the DSCC headquarters in Washington, DC.
Responsibilities
  • Work with DSCC senior staff, DSCC’s General Counsel, and in-state counterparts to lead voter access efforts in battleground Senate states across the country
  • Collaborate with the Coordinated Campaigns Director to develop program guidelines and planning processes for state coordinated campaigns and oversee and manage DSCC’s coordinated operations
  • Collaborate with the Coordinated Director in managing DSCC coordinated staff and operations
  • Coach in-state voter access teams on their programs, set metrics to evaluate effectiveness, and hold programs accountable to high standards
  • Work closely with other departments to maximize effectiveness of efforts to facilitate voting
Qualifications
  • At least eight years of previous organizing and political experience, with at least four years in a senior management role on a coordinated campaign or similar organization
  • Experience developing strategies and tactics to influence key stakeholders to facilitate voting
  • Experience collaborating with political, organizing, and legal staff
  • Experience managing staff and volunteers
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively
  • Creative problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with basic computer skills
  • Excellent time management skills, with experience in tight deadlines, long hours, and the ability to work well and remain calm under pressure
