Northeast Finance Associate The Northeast Finance Associates is responsible for assisting the Northeast Finance Director and Northeast Deputy Finance Directors with executing aspects of major donor fundraising within the region. They will create briefing materials and call sheets for principals, assist with execution of event logistics, process contributions, and ensure that donor records are accurate and up to date. This is an entry level position. Responsibilities include: - Assisting the Regional Director and Deputy Directors with the day-to-day operations of major donor fundraising in the region;
- Managing the region’s call time program, including preparing call sheets for principals including the Chair of the DSCC, other Democratic Senators, and DSCC Senior Staff;
- Identifying and qualifying potential new major donors to the DSCC;
- Ensuring that the fundraising database includes accurate and up-to-date information on donors within the region;
- Processing contributions and ensuring donors within the region are thanked in a timely manner;
- Staffing fundraising events and assisting with event logistics.
Candidates must have: - Some internship or work experience;
- Experience using Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets;
- Willingness and desire to learn political fundraising;
- Exceptional attention to detail.
The ideal candidate will also have the majority of the following qualifications: - Some familiarity with political fundraising;
- Some experience using NGP as a fundraising database;
- Excellent writing skills;
- Experience using Canva;
- General knowledge of the Democratic Senate Caucus and commitment to restoring the Democratic majority in the Senate.
This position requires in-person work at DSCC headquarters in Washington, DC. This position is part of a collective bargaining unit. The salary for this position is $55,000 annualized. Benefits: - Medical, dental and vision benefits with premiums fully paid by the DSCC offered to all employees
