Email Director

The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee seeks an Email Director to oversee a large and active grassroots email fundraising program. This person will be an integral part of our email team, and this role will include significant staff oversight responsibilities.

If you have experience supporting or running large-scale email programs, want to play an integral role in maximizing the revenue potential of a national committee's email fundraising program, and help flip the Senate majority in the process, you will find a great home on our team.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a complex, multi-stream email calendar.
  • Supervise and support the development of the Digital Strategists and Deputy Email Director.
  • Ensure new email subscribers are thoughtfully onboarded and cultivated to maximize ROI.
  • Oversee editing of all email drafts.
  • Direct implementation of testing ideas.
  • Be willing to assist in any overflow production or drafting needs.
Qualifications:
  • At least 2 cycles of experience in email marketing for an electoral campaign, advocacy organization, or firm.
  • Staff management experience is required for this role.
  • Intimate knowledge of every step of the email creation process.
  • Experience creating and maintaining a complex email calendar.
  • Exceptional writing and proofing skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with email CRMs or online organizing platforms.
  • Experience with ActionKit is a bonus but not a requirement.
The annual salary range for this position is $110,000 to $120,000.
This position requires in-person work at DSCC headquarters in Washington, DC.
