Deputy Voter Access Director for Ballot Cure

The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC) is seeking applications for Deputy Voter Access Directors for Ballot Cure to support Voter Access Directors in key states on ballot cure. About the Opportunity
DSCC Ballot Cure Deputies will be key to ensuring that every eligible voter has their ballot counted and the election is certified in November. Ballot Cure Deputies will lead volunteer organizing and voter contact efforts to reach supporters whose ballots have been rejected. These deputies will report directly to state coordinated campaign Voter Access Directors and work closely with the Voter Access Team and other departments to implement ballot cure programming.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Work alongside the coordinated campaign Voter Access Director to develop the plan for ballot cure outreach
  • Develop and maintain an understanding of state-specific voting laws and issues related to ballot cure
  • Support the Voter Access Director in developing program strategies, objectives, and metric goals, and ensure timely execution of the ballot cure
  • Create training and voter education resources for ballot curing, and assist with the facilitation of trainings for staff, volunteers, and voters
  • Supervise volunteer recruitment for ballot cure outreach
  • Collaborate with Organizing, Data, and Operations departments to effectively implement ballot cure program
  • In some states, manage Ballot Cure Associates or other staff to implement ballot cure outreach
Required Skills, Abilities, and Experience:
  • At least two previous cycles of voter access or organizing experience on a campaign or advocacy organization is strongly preferred
  • Proven time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities in order to meet deadlines
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills; especially as applied to engagement with stakeholders, campaign staff, and volunteers
  • Attention to detail, highly-developed organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate with stakeholders across all levels of our organization
  • A desire to thrive in a fast-paced work environment and take a solutions oriented approach to unique problems
  • Fluency with Voter Access tools, such as LBJ and VAN, preferred
Salary
The salary for this role is $84,000 annually, directly through the DSCC.

This is a cycle role based in a battleground state.
