Graphicacy, a mission-driven data visualization and design studio, is seeking an experienced Account Manager to own and drive growth across our client portfolio. This role is built for a strategic relationship-builder with 5+ years of agency sales or account management experience who can independently identify opportunities, close new business, and deepen partnerships with the clients and organizations we serve. This is a unique opportunity for someone passionate about data visualization, visual storytelling, and digital strategy to join a nimble, creative team and grow within a company that values impact and innovation. About the Role: You’ll report to the Graphicacy’s Chief Strategy Officer and Managing Director and lead Graphicacy’s business development efforts end-to-end, from prospecting and pipeline strategy to proposal development and close. This isn’t a support role. You’ll own a revenue target, manage a book of business, and work directly with leadership to shape how we grow. Business Development & Sales: • Own and drive the full sales cycle: prospecting, outreach, discovery, proposal, negotiation, and close. • Develop and execute targeted outreach strategies to win new clients across mission-aligned sectors. • Build and maintain a robust pipeline, with consistent visibility into deal stages, forecast, and revenue potential. • Lead re-engagement efforts with past clients and identify expansion opportunities within existing accounts. • Collaborate with leadership to set revenue goals and refine go-to-market strategy. Account Management & Client Partnerships: • In partnership with the Graphicacy leadership, anticipate client needs and proactively surface new engagement opportunities. Ensure a seamless handoff between sales and project delivery, staying in close coordination with Graphicacy’s director of project management and agency operations. Sales Operations & Strategy: • Maintain CRM hygiene and pipeline accuracy to support reliable forecasting. • Develop and iterate on proposals, scopes of work, and sales collateral. • Contribute to pricing strategy and deal structuring in partnership with leadership. • Report weekly on pipeline health, key metrics, and strategic priorities. About You: • 5+ years in sales, business development, or account management at a creative agency, digital studio, or strategic communications firm. • Demonstrated track record of hitting or exceeding revenue targets. • Strong instincts for qualifying opportunities and moving deals forward without hand-holding. • Skilled at navigating complex organizations and building relationships across levels. • Deep interest in data visualization, digital storytelling, or design, ideally with experience selling creative or technical services. • Comfortable working in a lean, remote environment where you operate with autonomy and accountability. • Experience with CRM tools and pipeline management is required; familiarity with proposal development and contract negotiation is a plus. About Us: Graphicacy is a mission-driven data visualization and design studio in Washington, DC, with team members in Brooklyn and Los Angeles. This opportunity is a remote position. Graphicacy partners with clients to tell engaging stories with data. Graphicacy’s team combines storytelling, thoughtful human-centered design and deep technical capabilities to build and deploy strategic, data-rich digital projects. We offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes: • Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance • Retirement plan with employer matching • Generous paid time off and sick leave • Flexible, people-first policies to support your personal well-being and work-life balance • A collaborative and values-driven team committed to helping you grow professionally across departments, whether you’re curious about project strategy, design, or engineering.
