Liftoff Campaigns is a mission-driven digital and communications agency seeking skilled individuals with a passion for making a difference to join our team. Our clients are statewide and local Democratic political campaigns, PACs, advocates, non-profits, and changemaking companies.

Job Overview:

Liftoff Campaigns is hiring an Operations Director to serve as a key member of our senior team. The Operations Director plays a critical role in supporting our clients and in addition to work as assigned, is generally responsible for leading the company’s daily operations and supporting the company’s continued growth, including the following:

Responsibilities:

  • Work with Partners, the Advertising team and Accountants to manage cash flow on a daily basis.
  • Oversee travel expenses and manage the travel budget.
  • Provide operational support for the advertising and digital teams, including tracking spends, cash on hand, and invoicing hour by hour.
  • Ensure all clients receive timely, day-of invoices and contracts; manage follow up.
  • Review and pay vendor invoices upon Partner or Ads Team approval.
  • Lead bi-weekly budget & cash flow reviews + consolidation.
  • Lead staff onboarding and offboarding process, including necessary paperwork, introductions to company policies, and setting up meetings with relevant team members.
  • Manage day-to-day company operations including performance review and promotion process, benefits package maintenance, and other tasks as assigned.
  • Assist in Legal and other company matters as needed.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial data entry and maintenance.

Qualifications:

  • At least one previous cycle on a campaign or 2-4 years at an organization/company in budgeting or operations.
  • Understanding of budgeting and cashflow.
  • Detail-oriented mindset and strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team.
  • Experience working with vendors and platforms for 401(k) administration, benefits, and payment processors.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and willingness to take on additional responsibilities as needed.
  • Commitment to electing Democrats and promoting Democratic causes.
  • A passion for spreadsheets. Yes, we mean that. You know who you are.

Experience we look for:

  • Passion for good causes, whether candidates or other.
  • 3-6 years of work experience with at least 3 years of experience in a dedicated operations role at a company or organization.
  • Experience working with Quickbooks, DocuSign, and budget software.
  • Familiarity with Excel and the Google Suite of office products.
  • Excellent spreadsheet management skills.
  • Experience managing multiple clients or workstreams at once.
  • Familiarity with P2P and/or broadcast texting platforms and media buying preferred.
  • Basic understanding of long term lead performance tracking.
  • Experience building and executing project plans to achieve fundraising and communications goals,
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Excellent quantitative reasoning skills and ability to apply data to strategic decisions.

Salary and Benefits:

The annual salary for this position is $75,000 - $100,000.
