2023 Request for Proposal

OUR STORY

The Movement Cooperative (TMC) seeks proposals for contractors to support our migration from Redshift to BigQuery, specifically with moving over a large number of Python scripts to be operational in our new BigQuery environment. A qualified candidate will have:

• Strong Python skills
• Familiarity with the Parsons Python package
• Familiarity with Civis Platform
• Familiarity with git and Github
• Strong project management skills
• Ease of communication via Slack

We are looking for at most 20 hours of work per week during the month of October. The contractor must conduct 50% of work hours during the normal CST work day in order to coordinate with TMC staff.

About TMC

We know movement organizing and advocacy are more urgent than ever and many organizations and activists cannot easily access the tools to scale their work.

Launched in 2018, The Movement Cooperative (TMC) is a nonprofit founded with the aim of creating a cooperative community addressing these structural challenges. Currently, our membership stands at more than 75 national member organizations and 500 state-based organizations covered under our licenses. We leverage the collective purchasing power of our membership to secure cooperatively held data and technology licenses shared across membership and invest in common infrastructure like technical staff to support our members in their work. TMC is a member cooperative -- our board is elected by and made up of our member organizations.

REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL

The Movement Cooperative is seeking applicants to serve as contractors for this project. The hourly rate will be $100/hr.

The Movement Cooperative will rate contractors based on the following factors:

3. Bios for the recruiter or team that will work on this project

The Movement Cooperative reserves the right to award to the contractor that presents the best value to The Movement Cooperative as determined solely by The Movement Cooperative in its absolute discretion.
